Any idea which of the 5 pubs in the demonstration site belong to the 4 pubs in "b) In the area shown, there are 4 pubs, write down their names and identify the annual & peak demands per pub?"

NickFry Hi Nick, apologies for the late response. I think the rogue 5th pub you refer to is probably the Three Horseshoes which is right on the southern border of the area of interest, so technically you're correct - there are five pubs. So only the other four pubs were intended to be included in the analysis (Bear Inn, Bunch of Grapes, Dandy Lion and Timbrell's Yard) but if you included the five that's fine - just point that out in the answer.

I have been unable to find any differences in the "cool net" simulation. In fact, it does not run. Finding nothing in the manual, I would like to know the answer to this: "What different user-input data would be needed if optimising a cooling network?"

NickFry Hi Nick, there is actually very little difference in the optimisation models used for heating and cooling, so the input fields required are virtually the same. The input numbers would of course need revising, mainly in defining a new set of supply parameters to suit a cooling plant specification,

MartinH thank you for this. I believe that is what I did for the earliest exercises. For the last exercise I will exclude the Three horseman.

MartinH ok, so I assume - for the sake of the exercises - that there is no difference except in the way the demand model develops for each structure. Like, instead of Heating Degree Days, we are just talking about Cooling Degree Days. I think the manual may mention some other ways it manipulates the energy transfer metrics for the demand model, but there is no real change for inputs on the user side, given OSM/LiDAR building characteristics.

NickFry Yes that's correct. The cooling demand model is actually quite basic and we're hoping to improve it at some point in the future, should we identify something better.
